Read the specific Prize page and this Guide before applying. Send a process question through the b54 contact form or reply to the official submission confirmation. When a question could affect other applicants, b54 may publish one answer for everyone rather than provide private guidance.
After submission, use the same email address and include the Prize title and submission details when asking for status or reporting a clerical error. b54 provides material updates through the contact details supplied with the entry. Applicants remain responsible for keeping those details working and checking messages before stated deadlines.
An applicant may withdraw through the official channel at any time before an award decision. Withdrawal ends review and award consideration but does not require b54 to erase records that must be kept for audit, legal, safeguarding, fraud-prevention, or dispute purposes. A correction after the deadline is limited to contact information or a clerical fact; it cannot improve or replace the submitted research.
Ask as early as possible for a reasonable accessibility or communication adjustment. b54 will try to provide an equitable route that does not change the eligibility standard, rubric, deadline for everyone, or substance of the work. Do not send identity, health, bank, or other sensitive evidence through an ordinary message; request a protected route first.
For suspected bribery, prohibited reviewer contact, retaliation, fraud, or research-integrity concerns, begin the message with “Confidential Prize report” and describe the concern without attaching sensitive evidence. b54 will identify the appropriate private route and limit access to people who need to act.
